little blue jean overalls
starting with the first grandchild passed to the next and on to the next, reaching the second generation from one to the next, the days, the moments, the memories all building.
running around in the same Osh'Kosh as her father Joslin made sure to leave her mark on the matiral.
pesky green beans that didn't make it to mouth
bits of grass from the rare sunny day this Febuary
running hugs that stole her Father's heart
sneaking stuffed animals in her crib with reaching juuussttt far enough through the bars
her first glimpse's given of Joslin dance, stomping feet with one carefully wobbly turn
ending the day wrapped around my neck in a tiny embrace turned to sleep
as so much like most of her clothes they are getting too small
it's time to pass them on
with a bit of sadness at time speeding by but there is also the joy in seeing the next wearing these.
making their mark.
silly little blue jean overalls you get to be worn by
miracles
surprises
blessings
unexpected hopes
new life
